Investing in innovative workforce solutions
The Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation (COWIC) is central Ohio’s primary administrator of federal , state, and local government dollars to support employment and training programs. We work with a variety of partners including public and private agencies, educational and training institutions, community based organizations, local businesses, and nonprofits to develop innovative employment services and workforce solutions.
COWIC also operates the OhioMeansJobs- Columbus- Franklin County Job Center and collaborates with economic development agencies and municipal organizations in pursuit of innovative programs and strategic initiatives created to meet current or future business demands.
We receive and administer dollars from the following sources:
- Federal Grants & Contracts (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act)
- State (Ohio Department of Job & Family Services)
- Local City/ County (City of Columbus/ Franklin County)
- Individual/ Corporate Contributions
