We envision COWIC as the premier model workforce development organization, the "go to" place for job seekers and employers that facilitates meeting labor market needs and acts as a catalyst to attract and retain businesses for a vibrant economy.

Strategic Goals

The Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation will carry out its Mission for the next three years by focusing on four key areas: People, Programs, Processes, and Performance. The following reflect the long and short-term goals established for each focus area.

• People: Great organizations focus first on their people. They make sure they have the right people and then place them in the right places.
• Programs: Great organizations understand that doing only what you are good at will only make you good; focusing solely on what you can do better than any other organization is the only path to greatness.
• Processes: Great organizations preserve their core values and purpose while their strategies and operating practices endlessly adapt to a changing world.
• Performance: All good-to-great organizations began the process of finding a path to greatness by confronting the brutal facts of their current reality.
